Athletico-PR turns against Libertad in Libertadores, and Turra vents

O Athletico-PR achieved a historic comeback against the freedom at liberators. Last Thursday, the 4th, in Paraguay, Hurricane left behind on the scoreboard, but showed strength to turn the game around and leave with a 2-1 victory. Without the team being able to function with the presence of four players in the starting lineup, Turra made changes for the second half and placed Rômulo and Thiago Andrade. The two changed the match against Libertad and guaranteed the turnaround for Athletico-PR in Libertadores. There was a great improvement in performance and that was enough for Hurricane to come out with the 2 to 1.

“We struggled, but that doesn’t mean it didn’t go well. We conceded a goal, we look for it. This does not mean that we are not going to test this first team, on the contrary. They are quality players who helped us and will continue to help us. At the moment, it didn’t work and I made the changess,” he explained.

Finally, Turra left Paraguay extremely satisfied with the result and sent a message to his squad: “It’s a great victory within what we planned for the game. We went looking for a result against a traditional team in Libertadores. It is the merit of the players, those who started, those who entered in the second half. Athletico-PR will play again in the Libertadores on the 23rd, when they will visit Atlético-MG. The team is leader of its group and has seven points, three more than Alianza Lima and four more than Libertad and Galo.
