Dillon Brooks Calls LeBron James “Old” And Says “I Don’t Care Who He Is”

The confrontation between the Los Angeles Lakers and the Memphis Grizzlies, valid for the 1st round of the NBA playoffs, is yielding great disputes on and off the court. With the score tied at 1 to 1, the series will have four more duels, and a special clash between two characters promises a lot.

LeBron James, Lakers star and sports star, reaches his twentieth season in the biggest basketball league on the planet accumulating numbers and setting new historical records, impressing even his rivals. However, one of them does not take this into account during games: Dillon Brooks, guard for the Grizzlies.

The Canadian, who arrived at the NBA in 2017, commented on the duel and teased the star: “I don’t mind one bit, he’s old”said Brooks, after being asked about tagging someone like LeBron. “I tease the big ones. I don’t respect anyone until they come and score 40 (points)”declared the player.

The context of this conflict is that LeBron and Brooks began to taunt each other with 8:06 remaining in the third quarter of the Grizzlies’ 103-93 victory over the Lakers in Game 2 of the series between the franchises in the Western Conference.

After the LA team reduced the deficit from 20 points to just one, Brooks committed his fourth infraction and, according to the Grizzlies guard, LeBron responded: “You’re stupid for making that mistake”which would have increased the tension between the two.

Still in the last quarter, Dillon Brooks scored a three-pointer, giving Memphis a lead of 89 to 77, and shortly after scoring the Grizzlies player came face to face with the Lakers star and provoked him to the other side of the court .
