New book by Manuela Dias is based on the story of Dona Lurdes

The book “Diary of Dona Lourdes”, produced by the writer Manuela Diaswas launched by Editora Melhoramentos on Thursday night (11), at Argument bookshop, in the neighborhood of Leblon, Rio de Janeiro. The work is a spin off from the soap opera on Rede Globo, “Mother’s love”, and is inspired by the character Dona Lourdesstarring Regina Case.

During the book launch, an autograph session was opened, in addition to promoting a chat session with Regina, who signed the book presentation, and Manuela Dias.

The soap opera that gave life to the character of Dona Lourdes“Mother’s love”, was also written by Manuela Dias. The plot tells the story of three women, who are, Dona Lurdes, Thelma and Vitória, where they live motherhood fully, and who, despite their differences, will have their lives crossed.

The soap opera has motherhood as its central theme, in addition to showing how daily life can be affected in a positive or negative way.

“No matter the social class, one mother empathizes with another. It is impossible to resist this identification. And I feel that we need to encourage empathy in Brazil and in the world as a whole”, said author Manuela Dias.

“Amor de Mãe” is a soap opera that reflects the real lives of three mothers who live different realities.

The character Lurdes is from the Northeast, who has no vanity, in addition to being a brave and warrior mother. Vitória, however, is a lawyer and sophisticated. Lídia is a rich and refined woman.

The book, “Diary of Dona Lourdes” tells the story after Lourdes’ children leave home, and portrays the maternal feelings she feels when she sees herself alone in her home. The work also seeks to reveal in more depth the story of Dona Lurdes and her family. And the character, in her diary, shares maternal feelings, how her five children are doing, the new routine, dramas and discoveries.

The launch of the book had the participation of some celebrities, they are Nanda Costa and their twin daughters kim It is you, Paola OliveiraPaula Burlamaqui, Maria Padilha, among others.
