Process for dividing Gugu’s inheritance continues until June

The process for the division of the presenter’s inheritance Gugu Liberato, who passed away in 2019, started on Monday and is still undecided. The case is being discussed in 9th Family and Probate Court of São Paulo.

Rose Miriam, mother of Gugu’s children, seeks to prove a stable union with the presenter. She claims to have lived with him for 20 years. His two daughters, Sofia It is Marina, also support his quest for a stable union. They are the main witnesses in Rose’s favor.

On the other hand, João Augustoeldest son of Gugu, sister Liberato Aparecida and the nephews follow the will left by the presenter, they want Gugu’s final decision to be respected. The will, made in 2011, does not include Rose and distributed the inheritance as follows: 75% for the three children and 25% for the five nephews. In addition, a lifetime pension was left to Gugu’s mother.

Rose does not appear in the will and, according to reports, would have signed a document giving up the inheritance while under the influence of drugs and with a “delusional condition”. However, she does not confirm this version and alleges that the sum of US$ 10,000 a month that Gugu transferred to cover personal expenses was not paid correctly.

If the stable union between Rose and Gugu is recognized by the Justice, she will be entitled to half of the inheritance, while the other 50% would be divided between the three children. The nephews mentioned in the will would lose their rights to the estate.

The case is still ongoing and the hearings that were supposed to take place this week have been postponed until June.

In addition to those directly involved in the dispute, such as Rose, João Augusto and Aparecida Liberato. Thiago Salvático also filed an appeal claiming a relationship with Gugu. However, the Justice of São Paulo understood that they were just friends.
