The looks of the queens and princesses at the coronation of Charles III

The coronation of King Charles took place last Saturday (06) and brought together all royal members. In royalty, there are many protocols to follow, as per the “The Liber Regalis” translating to Portuguese “The Royal Book” is a book tells how a coronation should be organized and carried out, including on clothing, nothing extravagant or with abuse of colors.

All requirements dictated by royal bookit is used for realization and for the guest list without any exception.

The royal clothing refers to elegance, subtlety, tailoring and accessories such as hats, are key pieces to compose the look real. Any black garment is prohibited, as the color is reserved for mourning only.

All princesses and queens wear composite elements that cover most of the body, evening dresses with total sophistication, some wearing gloves and pumps and accessories they use jewelry complementing the style of clothing. Gloves and hats are part of the dress code, gloves are not only elegant but also hygienic and hats are a completely mandatory accessory for royal women, especially on formal occasions or royal events.

For male guests, it will be a formal uniform (military), dark blue or gray suits, which are subtle and discreet tones. In daytime events it consists of tailcoats, pants and vests.

Since 1953 the last coronation dress code has been updated and modernized for the present day, however short or off-the-shoulder garments and open shoes are unacceptable for a grand and momentous event such as the coronation of a monarch to a great country.
