The Porto Alegre Marathon will have official broadcast and guess who will comment?

One of the fastest marathons in Brazil will be broadcast on TVE, TV Brasil and the Olympikus Youtube channel with comments from Corrida no Ar

We received from the organization of the Porto Alegre Marathon, the information that the race, scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 4th, will have official transmission through three channels: TVE (Porto Alegre Educational TV), TV Brazil and through the channel Youtube of Olympikus.

This is excellent news for two reasons. First because the race is offering a good prize – R$ 180 thousand, and the winner of the 42 km will take R$ 30 thousand. For this reason, there is good expectation that high-level athletes will compete in the streets of the capital of Rio Grande do Sul and we hope that the race records fall – in the women’s it is the Kenyan Ednah Mukhwana, 2:32:41 in 2013 and the male is from Luis Carlos da Silva, who did 2:12:59 in 1994. Ah! there were some changes to the course that made it even faster – yet another reason to look forward to records not only among elite athletes, but also among amateurs.

The second reason is that there is an evident growing demand among runners to be able to follow the main races in Brazil, as evidenced in the transmissions of SP City Marathon 2022 and the one from Curitiba Marathon, the latter with narration and commentary by Sérgio Rocha and Cleimar Rodrigo. Both broadcasts had a large audience during the race.

Now the icing on the cake, at least for us, Air Race, is that we were asked to comment on the transmission of the Porto Alegre Marathon, which, of course, we readily accepted. So, we can guarantee that there will be a lot of information and interaction with the crowd during the race – which always characterizes the parallel transmissions that we do on our Youtube channel during the big marathons in the world (and in Brazil, when we have that opportunity).
