Frank Aguiar’s wife reveals rare disease and shocks social networks

This Monday (3), Carol Santos, the wife of Frank Aguiar, shocked many people on social media after talking about her rare and serious skin condition known as syndrome Stevens-Johnson. The disease made her stay in an ICU for 10 days.

The situation generated a high repercussion and, with that, Carol gave more details about her syndrome. During an interview with gshowshe spoke about how her husband’s support was essential to her recovery, as well as how this period strengthened their relationship.

“Frank stayed with me every day during the week, and on the weekends he went to work”commented Carol.

The first time Carol had to deal with the syndrome was in May, when she was hospitalized. The syndrome is based on an inflammation of the immune system due to medications such as antibiotics and anti-inflammatories.

“I don’t want to go through this anymore” reflected.

Carol was admitted to the hospital during the week of Mother’s Day, spent the commemoration Sunday there and ended up getting a visit from her son.

At the moment she is at home and is receiving the necessary care for her recovery.

“It takes from 6 months to 1 year”, stated Carol about the recovery of her skin.

After the repercussion of the report, she said that she hopes to be able to respond to all the messages of affection she has been receiving and commented on her goals:

“Now, I want and need to take care of myself. My health, physical and mental,” she said.

In a publication on social networks, Carol gave details about the syndrome, stating that it caused wounds, spots and flaking on her body.

“My mouth was all sore, I lost seven kilos,” said Carol. “I couldn’t do simple things, like walking, eating hurt a lot, peeing, not even talking…”completed.
