Marta reveals situation in the Brazilian National Team and makes an exciting statement about her sixth World Cup!

Marta, the greatest player in the history of women’s football in Brazil, commented on her situation in the Brazilian national team after being asked in an interview about her ownership in the team. The player said that she never talked to coach Pia Sundhage about being a starter and that she is aware that she is not the same Marta as 20 years ago.

Also during the interview, Marta praised her teammates, saying that they are players with a lot of talent and that she has affection and love for the shirt of the Brazilian National Team. The Queen of Soccer also spoke a little about the feeling of going to her sixth World Cup.

“It’s the work of a lifetime, how dedicated we are to keeping ourselves at a high level. Thank God, I have people around me who help me a lot, fantastic teammates both in the national team and in the clubs. When you dedicate yourself to a job with love and affection, it becomes easier. I am very happy to go to a sixth World Cup, I could never do it alone, it is something surreal”, said Martha.

In addition to being voted the best player in the world six times, Marta is also the top scorer in the history of the Women’s World Cup. The Brazilian played in the 2003, 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2019 editions, having scored 17 goals in total. The Queen of Football has never won a World Cup, but was runner-up in the 2007 edition, where she was top scorer, with seven goals.

The Brazilian Women’s Team leaves for Australia next Monday (3). As part of the planning set up to reduce the effects caused by the time difference in Australia, the team will travel on a chartered flight, where they will do specific work to reduce wear and tear and facilitate their adaptation.
