It will still be a while before the Perfect Dark reboot is released, at least according to information obtained by IGN based on reports released by 13 people who worked on the game.
According to what has been reported, the game is still in the pre-production stage, with many of its aspects being in the beginning of development, and it should take at least another 2 or 3 years before it is released.
Furthermore, recent plans reportedly indicate that the game may adopt the episodic format, but that idea may change by launch.
The Perfect Dark reboot is being helmed by Darrell Gallagher, who has worked as head of development at Activision and Square Enix, and has joined The Initiative to work on the game since the studio’s founding in 2018.
Since its announcement in 2020, nothing has been officially shown, with the project having gone through several problems in recent years. Today, Crystal Dynamics is apparently responsible for handling most of the development.
