Silvia Poppovic tells how Palmirinha’s first interview was

This Monday afternoon (8), Silvia Poppovic recalled the day she met and interviewed Palmirinha, who passed away at the age of 91 this Sunday (7), due to chronic kidney problems that intensified. Silva told how the conversation transformed the cook’s life.

The 68-year-old journalist and presenter shared through some stories at the Instagram, who met Palmirinha when she was still hosting a program on open TV that talked about female entrepreneurship. Silvia tells that she saw the “Grandma Palmirinha”, affectionate way in which she was called by the public, sitting with a basket of chicken pies.

Poppovic said that got her attention and asked why she brought that basket on the show. “I brought it to you as a gift, because I make a living from it, in fact I make a living from it, I have three daughters, I live with a lot of difficulty”, vented Palmirinha, who reported having suffered domestic violence from her husband.

Touching life story and gratification after success

The journalist stated that she was intrigued by the cook’s life story and that from that moment on she decided to interview her. “This changed Palmeirinha’s life. Everyone started buying her pies. It was a hit and her on television (also) was a big hit”revealed.

Silvia explains that Palmirinha’s story was very moving and that the program’s audience began to follow her. “She went to Ana Maria Braga, (who) watched her on my show and asked her to become the culinarist and then she exploded. With her sweet way, always with this charming way of playing with her own mistakes“.

Shortly after Palmirinha landed her own cooking show on TV Gazeta, Silvia account that was invited to go to the program: “I went and she said ‘look, I want you to make a recipe that you like’, and I made the octopus, which is bread with egg, a very easy and delicious snack“. Finished Silvia: “Today andI am reproducing this recipe in honor of the family, may she rest in peace and we will always remember her with great affection“.

The presenter and cook, Palmira Nery da Silva Onofre, better known as Palmirinha, was veiled this Monday afternoon at the Morumbi Cemetery, located in the state of São Paulo.
