“It is not surprising because we are experiencing a rainy season with an accumulation of water. Remembering that it is always necessary to take care of the water deposits, since the mosquito reproduces in clean water”, explained the president of the Board of Directors of Abramed, Wilson Shcolnik.

Experts point out that the rainy season and the accumulation of water that the city has had since the beginning of the year are factors that influence the large number of cases. The neighborhoods most affected so far are: Tremembé, 231 cases; Santana (153), Vila Maria (121), Freguesia do Ó (120) and Brasilândia (116), all in the north zone where the victim lived. Itaquera, in the east zone, had 127 positive diagnoses.
