Link and Zelda are a couple in Tears of the Kingdom, says voice actress

Summersett spoke about this in an interview with the website TheGamer, where he commented on his work bringing the Princess of Hyrule to life in Breath of the Wild, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity and Tears of the Kingdom. She also offered her own take on the relationship between Link and Zelda, saying that the time that passed between Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom allows for deeper interpretation by players due to the time jump.

“As a voice actress, looking at the overall relationship between Link and Zelda over the ages, I personally love the ambiguity, and if there’s anything there, it’s left up to us,” Summersett said. “I think in my own life I can respect and celebrate relationships that are unconventional.”

In Tears of the Kingdom, you can return to Hateno Village and go to Link’s house, which now contains several of Zelda’s possessions, as well as just a bed, leading many to speculate that the two are a couple. Zelda still has Link’s hair tie in her private office, and the player can pick it up.
