Lula’s government is evaluated as positive by 36%; 29% consider it negative

The assessments of the current government were released this Wednesday (19). The government of President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva (PT) is evaluated as positive by 36% of respondents, according to the study carried out by Genial/Quaest.

Another 29% of those interviewed say that Lula’s administration is regular, and another 29% consider the president’s administration to be negative. 6% did not answer or do not know.

In February, in the first evaluation, 40% thought it was positive, 24% thought it was fair and 20% thought it was negative, 6% did not know or did not answer.

In total, 2,015 people were interviewed between the 13th and 16th of April. The poll’s margin of error is plus or minus 2.2 percentage points.

The highest positive evaluation is in the Northeast region. With 53% approval. The lowest percentage is in the South region with 27%, the Southeast region is 30% and the North and Midwest regions are 33%.

In February, they were 62% in the Northeast, 34% in the South and Southeast, and 32% in the North and Midwest.

As for the female public, in the current scenario (April) the government is evaluated positively by 38% and for the male public it is evaluated at 33%.

For people between 16 and 34 years old, the third administration of the president is positive for 31%, for respondents between 35 and 59 the evaluation is 38%. For 60 years or more, they are at 39%.

In the first survey (February) the distribution was: 16 and 34 years old: 38%, 35 and 59 years old: 42%, 60 years old and over 41%.

Methodology

Between April 13th and 16th, 2,015 people were interviewed in person through a structured questionnaire. The margin of error presented was plus or minus 2.2 percentage points and the confidence level of the survey is 95%.

For sampling, 120 municipalities were drawn in the first stage, using the probability method proportional to size. Therefore, based on the population over 16 years old.

Census sectors were drawn, in the second stage, based on the size of the population per sector.

And in the third and last stage, the fixed number of inhabitants to be interviewed in each sector was defined, according to age group, sex, family income, level of education, region and economically active population.
