Halo Infinite officially requires at least 4GB of VRAM to play, as per official requirements released in 2021 and haven’t changed since. However, before it was possible to run the game even if your video card did not meet this requirement, but now this is no longer possible.

The spec situation is a little different on Steam. There it says that the game needs at least a Radeon RX 570 or GeForce GTX 1050 Ti, but it doesn’t specify how much VRAM they need to have for the game to work, which may have confused some users.
Since the arrival of Season 3, many players using cards like the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 3GB or the GTX 1060 3GB are no longer able to play, with a message appearing on the desktop screen advising that a GPU with at least 4GB available is required.
Previously, it was still possible to run the game despite the error messages, especially on the 3GB GTX 1060, which, according to some users, performed satisfactorily, as long as the graphics quality was greatly reduced in the game’s options.
Since it’s only been a week since Season 3 arrived, maybe someone will find a way around this so that players with 3GB GPUs can be able to play again. Otherwise, they will have to change their video card to continue playing.
