Santos loses important starter for ‘decision’ in Sudamericana
In the search for the second victory in the tournament, Santos will not be able to count on one of the biggest highlights of the season; understand the reasons!
Soteldo’s physical problem happened in Peixe’s victory against America-MG. In the second stage of the match, the striker felt pain in the area and had to be replaced. After performing the tests, Santos found a moderate injury to the left thigh. Certain embezzlement for the middle of the week, the player still does not have a deadline to return to the lawns.
Santos without Soteldo, but with Lucas Lima!
On the morning of this Monday, 01, Santos used social networks to make an important announcement aimed at the continuation of the season. After signing a productivity agreement, the board met with the midfielder Lucas Lima and agreed to renew the contract. Now, the player will wear the shirt of the Vila team until April 2025.
“Santos Futebol Clube extended this Monday (1) the bond with Lucas Lima. Two-time São Paulo champion for the club in 2015 and 2016, the midfielder had signed a productivity contract until the end of April this year and, after the excellent performances, the agreement was renewed until April 2025“, began Santos’ official note on social media.
“Currently 32 years old and born in Marília, in the interior of São Paulo, Lucas Lima returned to start his second spell at Alvinegro Praiano in February this year and, since then, has become one of the main players in the team commanded by Odair Hellmann. The number 23 has already scored once and became the leader in assists this season, with five passes to goal in 13 games played“.
It is worth noting that Santos had signed a productivity agreement with Lucas Lima earlier this year. And as the bond was only valid until the end of April, the board rushed to register the midfielder’s new contract. Hired with great distrust, Lucas reacted on the field and became a key player for Peixe.
