New York authorities reveal there were no collisions during the pursuit of Harry and Meghan

There were no arrests, collisions and much less injuries while the couple Harry and Meghan Markle were chased by photographers, as reported by the New York police department for the news agency, called Reuters.

The statement said that: “The New York Police Department assisted the private security team protecting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Too many photographers made transport difficult.”

NYPD Deputy Commissioner for Public Information Julian Phillips reassured everyone by saying: “The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived at their destination and there have been no reports of collisions, subpoenas, injuries or arrests in this regard.”

However, another version of what happened was presented by the couple’s spokesperson. Alleging, therefore, that Harry and Meghan Markle suffered a strong car chase, used by the paparazzi involved in the incident, resulting in “multiple collisions”.

Still according to the information provided by the couple’s spokesperson, police and pedestrians circulating around the place ended up being injured during the pursuit, in addition to other vehicles having collided.

“This relentless pursuit, which lasted two hours, resulted in other near collisions involving other drivers, pedestrians and two NYPD officers,” reported the spokesperson.

As revealed by the same, Meghan’s mother was also inside the car along with her daughter and son-in-law. None of them were injured during the whole melee.

A member of the team escorting the couple said: “I’ve never seen anything like it.” They ended up having to switch from one vehicle to another at the time of the paparazzi chase.
