Preta Gil is hospitalized to undergo a battery of tests

Last Thursday (6), Preta used her Instagram to talk about her absence from social networks in recent weeks. “To calm you down. The chemotherapy process is heavy and I’m having to take care of myself more and more. Here I follow my healing process, where I needed to protect myself during these last few weeks. I’ll be back here soon. I wanted to thank you for your concern and for all your prayers. Love you”, posted in stories.

Preta Gil recently granted an interview to Fantástico, on Show da Vida and reported that the symptoms started when she was on tour with her father, Gilberto Gil, in Europe and that she had a bad feeling in two concerts.

According to Preta, she had migraine attacks and hypertension. She says that she went to the hospital and the other day, when she woke up to go to the bathroom, she felt something run down her leg and saw that it was blood. Religious, Gilberto Gil’s daughter emphasizes that she believes that this situation was a warning for her to pause her commitments and take better care of herself. “I was very resigned. I understood from the first moment that life was giving me a sign of something. I never thought this was something that was going to bring me down. I understood that it was something that was going to transform me.”said.

Preta’s treatment will consist of eight cycles of chemotherapy, one month and one week of radiotherapy and surgery to remove the tumor, which can last from 6 to 8 months. She also spoke about her desire to create an institute dedicated to health education in the future, and even thought of a name: Carna Cura! The institute’s goal is to have a health platform with many doctors to talk about food, mental health and treatments. She says that when she finishes the treatment she wants to have a carnival celebration, because she got sick during that period.
